The 43" Apollo Deep Umbrella from Westcott has a deep design that creates a wide field of light with directional control making feathering easy. The umbrella's 16 fiberglass ribs create a round light source while its soft white interior lowers contrast and fosters neutral color rendering. It mounts quickly to most strobes, constant lights or speedlights which can be positioned anywhere along the umbrella's shaft to focus or de-focus the light to control contrast and coverage.

Purchased to use with a diffuser I own to make a softlighter. Great construction with simple yet effective lock button. Others on the market have IMO questionable locks that can risk collapsing and crushing glass dome of the head.

What is the shaft diameter? Will it fit snugly in a Profoto B1/B1X?
The Westcott Apollo Deep Umbrella (White, 43") has an 8mm shaft with a 7mm tip (this is true of all Westcott umbrellas). The Profoto B1 and Profoto B1X AirTTL monolights both may accommodate umbrella shaft diameters between 7mm and 8mm in size, so it would be compatible for use with the Westcott Apollo Deep Umbrella (White, 43").

is this heat resitant? can we use with an Arri 650w tungsten?
According to Westcott, the maximum wattage hot light (tungsten, halogen, HMI, etc.) that is recommended for use with the Westcott Apollo Deep Umbrella (White, 43") would be a 300 watt light fixture. As such, no, I would not recommend the usage of the ARRI 650W Plus Tungsten Fresnel with the Westcott Apollo Deep Umbrella (White, 43").
