All things considered, yeah this is an expensive cable but it's rock solid, transmits sound confidently, and most importantly, looks good doing it.

Use cable in to Nikon D5500 to capture ambient nature sounds. Good things about cable are: simple, compact, appears solid assembled in U.S.A., comes with tiny 1.5mm hex wrench for XLR connector body. Main thing i did not like was extremely tight on my particular (new) MKE600. nothing beats consistent use & was not willing to wait. will keep CT-S600-12U as backup or trade off. MKE600 brand coiled version is smoother as are my existing D'addoria connectors. Refuse to return something that works & made in the U.S.A. is the best.

Can BH ask CT to produce longer cable lengths please? 12 inches is Too short. Are there any other cable manufacturers selling this type on cable? Thx

Would this product be compatible with the Rode NTG1 and a DSLR camera?
It will connect but it won't work because the Rode needs phantom power. Sennheiser's mke 600 works because it doesn't require phantom power. (it can run with a battery).
