A simple, yet powerfully effective tool for content creators, the Blue Microphones Yeti is a USB mic offering a broadcast-quality sound, a rugged design, and multiple recording modes to suit your needs. The Yeti, offfered here in a midnight blue finish, has become a go-to mic for people who record podcasts, and who stream on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook Live, and other similar platforms.

The multiple mic modes allow virtually any kind of content creator to do their thing with precision and ease. Use the cardioid setting to reject off-axis noise, minimizing room tone even when speaking directly into the mic. If you're recording with one other guest, select the Bidirectional polar pattern; now, you can speak into the front, while the guest speaks into the back, and the sides of the mic will reject unwanted room noise. Choose omnidirectional to pickup audio all around the capsule, which is great for work that features multiple voices. Finally, a stereo mode is wonderful for ASMR content or for recording music. A desktop stand and a USB cable are included, as is a suite of VO!CE software FX to improve your sound.

Fits Your Needs
This mic is perfect for recording directly to computers, be they mac or windows systems. With the right, separately available adapters, you can also record with Android and iOS devices.
All the Control You Need, Built Right In
Yeti features controls for headphone volume, pattern selection, instant mute and microphone gain—putting you in charge of every level of the recording process. If you're experiencing distortion or feedback while recording an especially loud source, simply adjust the microphone's sensitivity with the gain control. Or, if you want to take a break in the middle of a podcast, use the instant mute button. Also, the included stand allows for pivoting in a variety of angles for ideal placement, with the added functionality of folding the mic down for storage and transport.
3.5mm Headphone Jack with Latency-Free Monitoring
The mic has an integrated headphone amp with an independent gain control for latency-free monitoring. Simply plug your headphones into the mic's 3.5mm input, and you'll hear your broadcast-quality audio in all its glory.
Broadcast-Quality Digital Capture
The mic records audio at 16-bit / 48 kHz, giving you the broadcast standard for media playback. On the audio side, the tri-capsule design ensures that whatever mode you choose, the mic will pick up a clear and present sound.
Simple to Set Up
Just plug the Yeti into your computer's USB port with the included USB cable, select it as a device in your recording software, and you're ready to get to work. The Yeti runs off your device's power, so no need to plug it into a wall. With driver-free operation, you won't have to download pesky software to get it up and running.
VO!CE Software Included
Blue VO!CE software is included, giving you an array of high-quality vocal filters, FX, and samples to showcase your voice in the best light. You'll find the following FX on hand:

Audio quality OK, but broke after less than a year

By Jonathan

No issues with audio quality for this microphone, but it broke after less than a year due to flimsy, poorly designed connector. It's kind of my own fault--I accidentally bumped it off a desk. However, the microphone and stand are very heavily weighted (perhaps to give the illusion of quality), and this microphone uses an extremely old USB connector type that is prone to stress failures. One little jerk of the cord was all it took to bend/snap the fragile connector pins in the body of the microphone. Game over. After doing some research online I discovered, too late, that damage to this port is so common that there are many forum threads about it, and even shops that replace this specific port on this specific microphone -- for nearly the cost of a new one, of course. On most forums, they'll just recommend that you purchase a better-designed microphone. Very disappointed that such an expensive microphone uses such old, flimsy technology. If you have already purchased this unit, recommend adding additional reinforcement to the port. If you haven't, save your money for something that's actually sturdy instead of something that just looks sturdy.

I thought the sound would be more on the lines of professional radio. I don't like the sounds that it gives. Looks good.

Sounds great, perfect for direct USB sound recording. The multiple pickup patterns make it the perfect all multi-purpose mic.

I bought this to upgrade the sound quality for my online piano lessons. I had been using just the mic on the Logitech C920 camera. The voice and music quality is excellent, much better than the camera mic.

Great Product

I'm not an expert on microphones or sound systems. From a layman's standpoint, this microphone catches sounds clearly. It's also pleasantly heavy and sturdy. A solid product!

How close does a singer need to be to the mic to be heard? using for voice lessons over zoom/skype/etc...
Asked by: Anonymous
You can be up to feet away if you just want to be heard. The most ideal quality would depend on how loud you are singing and your distance to the mic in relation to that and it would also be best to monitor with headphones plugged into the microphone so that you can hear what it will sound like in the recording. Trying this out will give you the best results.

how can i connect a usb yeti to an evo4?
Asked by: Steven
There's not much reason to use a USB mic to an audio interface since the USB mic already has an A/D converter inside it, which is the primary role of the audio interface. You should be just fine plugging it into your computer. If you prefer the preamp sound of your evo, you should buy an analog mic instead. You'll probably end up getting more bang for your buck too

question

What's the recommended configuration of the mic? There's no shock mount included, and with the Yeti attached to the reflection filter, there isn't enough room for cables.
Asked by: Ben Z.
The Yeti shockmount (BLRADIUSIIBO) can be used on a mic stand. It allows room for the cable.
