Does the headphone out need a cell phone app or does it work without a cell phone?
Asked by: Michael
Per Saramonic's manual, the output on this is for audio from the phone only. Most audio recording apps support monitoring, but many video recording apps do not. http://www.saramonic.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/SmartRig-user-manual.pdf For video, I would recommend considering filmic pro.

Will this work with a electret mic and a camcorder without plug-in power?
Asked by: Kay Heem
I’m not sure what you mean by an electret mic. You need a mic with either a 1/4 inch plug or xlr. Your camcorder needs to have a trrs jack. If not it will not work.

The Camera/Phone switch is above the Power Button. The Camera side is the TRS Input. I use this for Camcorder's Mic input as well.

question

How long is battery life with this unit?
Asked by: Marcelo
Well, I have been using it for more than 8 hours, and the battery is still working. But I dont use the 48v phantom power from the Saramonic, cause I have an electret Sennheiser with its own battery.
