The YN-600II LED 3200-5500K Light is one of a series of LED lights from Yongnuo Digital. This 3200-5500K tungston/daylight-adjustable unit offers two dimming modes (rough and fine), an IR remote control, four barndoors, a power-on/luminance adjustment knob, fan cooling, and two filter panels (one orange, one white). Up to three lights can be grouped via the IR remote control at a distance of up to 49'. A downloadable mobile phone app is available to control the light as well.

Yongnuo YN-600L IIC Overview

The YN-600II LED 3200-5500K Light is one of a series of LED lights from Yongnuo Digital. This 3200-5500K tungston/daylight-adjustable unit offers two dimming modes (rough and fine), an IR remote control, four barndoors, a power-on/luminance adjustment knob, fan cooling, and two filter panels (one orange, one white). Up to three lights can be grouped via the IR remote control at a distance of up to 49'. A downloadable mobile phone app is available to control the light as well.

Designed for DSLR and camcorders shoots, the YN-600II LED 3200-5500K Light can be powered using two Sony NP-F series batteries or via an optional AC adapter. A push-button numerical LED display shows the remaining battery power. The YN-600II LED 3200-5500K Light mounts to a stand (not included), or can be handheld using the included handle.

Used these on a remote shoot recently.� They are twice a bright as my Dracast 500.� They are smaller, the remote link capability works great. The build quality is not nearly as good as the Dracast.� I wouldn't want these dropping 6 feet to the floor.� But they work well for the price.

The specs for this light say 8 VDC, 5 A. Using a 9 VDC should be possible. However, this could take it out of warranty so proceed at your own risk.

Which SPECIFIC batteries do you need to power this?

You need only to use batteries that are Sony NP-F9XX configuration. Therefore you can use any Sony or 3rd party like Watson just as long as they are of the Sony NP-F9XX type. Here are two examples. I suggest the largest size to maximize the light's run time. Sony NP-F970 L-Series Info-Lithium Battery Pack (6300mAh) B&H # SONPF970. Watson NP-F975 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 7800mAh) B&H # WANPF975. I recommend the high quality Sony if you can budget it. If not, the Watson will serve you well.
