Is there a trick to getting the remote to work with this? My remote won't seem to even turn on.
Make sure the batteries have a charge, are inserted into the remote and light correctly and everything is on. If still no, it may be a repair issue. I would suggest contacting B&H Customer Service to arrange an exchange or return. https://bhpho.to/2caRE5L

How soft is the diffusion on this light? Is there any extra diffusion I can purchase separately?
The diffusion on this light is quite soft, but if you wanted to add more diffusion, there is the Rosco E-Colour #250 1/2 White Diffusion (21 x 24 Sheet) B&H # ROE250S. This can be cut to size and attached to the panel using ProTapes Pro Gaffer Tape (2 x 12 yd, Black) B&H # PRGT12B.

Will the yn600RGB work with 2 - np-fv100 batteries?
I'm afraid not. This light is powered by Sony NP-F style batteries, not NP-FV style. We have very nice kits from Dracast that feature two batteries and a charger. They are B&H Numbers DRBK2NPF2200 and DRBK2NPF6600.https://bhpho.to/2lO5VaOhttps://bhpho.to/2qxMAxq

Is this light good for filming at 240fps?
Yongnuo has not posted what are the flicker-free FPS rates for their lights. You would have to test before you do a job. Other solutions would be to use sunlight or incandescent fixtures.

I didn't weigh it, but guessing around 4 pounds. It's the size of a small laptop.
