This pad is better than I thought in regards to a nice bright light.� I like the dimming feature which allows you to dim the light if you don't need the full brightness.� Brightness is controlled by just touching the power button.

No, this light pad has no rechargeable batteries. One needs to connect it to an electricity supply via the power adapter while using it.

Is the light uniform across the area or is it composed of a grid of visible light spots? I want it for film strip viewing.
The reflecta LED Light Pad A4 is a uniformly lit pad. One does not view grids of light spots. The pad at full power is very bright, but it does offer a dimming feature to enable one to customize the brightness for the project at hand.

If memory serves, the custom WB on my Sony A7RIII put it at 7000k at full power. I reached out to Reflecta for confirmation, but they never responded.
