Lens Cover for the Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS Lens (Realtree Max5) is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 21.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from scam product This product consists of 4 strips of neoprene that slide around the lens. The largest of which is actually for the lens hood. This is very thin neoprene and because of the allowance for the zoom ring and focusing ring the cover the strips only cover 3.25 of the 7.75 lens. That's only 42% of the surface area. In a nutshell, this would be a great product if priced at about $10 or less. Anything close to the actual retail price is a total ripoff. I feel that purchasing this product has lowered my IQ.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Look! First, I'll just say that I like the way it looks. That's not a matter of the functionality of this lens coat; it's just a general observation and opinion. I have been a hunter for years. When I am walking in the woods scouting before the hunting season begins, I try not to be apparent to the wildlife I am scouting, particularly white tailed deer and wild turkey. This time of year offers a great opportunity to capture incredible images with your camera. A big white lens is just not what you want to be carrying when you want to be inconspicuous. The coat is lightweight and offers some protection to your bigger investment, a top of the line lens.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The handwarmer When I first received this as part of a package with my new awesome 20-200mm 2.8L lens, I was skeptical about how useful I would find this LensCoat. However, the first trip to the beach on a cold, windy evening proved it's worth to me. It kept the lens nice and touchable without having to wear gloves. This is important to me as I hate having cold hands and I often conduct sessions on the beach on a chilly evening - which is all year round here in the Pacific Northwest. I'm not convinced of the protection it offers the lens in all kinds of weather as there are just strips that cover the metal parts, leaving access to the manual focus ring and the zoom.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Models love it! I wanted to protect my first real glass with something a little stylish looking. I also wanted to disguise the professional' white color of the lens. With the new camouflage look, I think turtles and birds are less afraid of my camera now. All the pieces are nicely fitting and sit on my lens like a glove. I've notice though, that the lens hood cover is not as snug, probably, because it's made of plastic and there is less traction between the materials( as opposed to the metal/rubber combination on the lens). Unexpected bonus - models love it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It's Not Worth It Came as part of a kit and is a waste. Cheap, flimsy and I'm sorry I paid extra for it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick and easy camo Excellent product for making the white lens disappear. I spend most of my time photographing wildlife and every little bit of camo helps. The only problem I have had is that it has a tendency to roll on the edges when put into the camera bag. I like the extra padded protection it gives the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was hoping for I wanted a cover for my 70-200 2.8 IS lens to make it less conspicuous, protect it from dings and scratches and make more comfortable to hold in hot and cold weather. The LensCoat preforms perfectly for these needs. Pricey but well worth it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Look's good, when I can find it! Well I bought the Realtree from Lens Coat because I use my lens out of doors in pursuit of ferocious backyard birds and other critters large and small. Well sort of. Anyway, I bought for two reasons, birds don't like the white lens (so they say) and I wanted to protect my investment. I think I can say that I have noticed that I have longer to get the pictures I want, but this could be that I am getting better at what I am doing and not just the camo of the Lenscoat, or at the very least the birds are chuckling at the camo. As for the protection... I guess it is going to keep the nicks and what knot to a minimum. The coat does cover the purty white of Canon's fine piece of glass, and that is a good thing. It seems to me it will keep that pristine white whiter longer based on my experience with a older manual focus Canon lens (white of course)that didn't have the benefit of a Lenscoat kind of system. It goes on the lens fairly easy, like pulling on tight underwear. The tripod ring camo is peel, stick, and trim. That raises some debate internally. But what the hey. It was worth it for me to put it on and trim the length. I can always get the glue off of the ring if I ever to decide to sell the lens(yeah right, NOT!). I definitely like the cool dress up I am not an indoor photog look the Lenscoat imparts. Hey camo is Cool! I just wish they had clothes for my lens bodies.
