Archival Binder with Rings (White) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hurricane Safe! I had tens of thousands of rolls of film stored in these boxes when Hurricane Andrew flattened the townhouse (in Country Walk...poster child for ground zero destruction) where I was working. ALL of the film in sealed boxes survived, about 600 rolls not yet boxed were destroyed. You could say I am a fan. One thing I do is immediately remove the tree ring binder. The hoops can bruise some negatives in a nearly full box. I just stack the pages inside, using an alpha numeric code for each page...1A-Z, 2 A-Z, etc. to keep order, and to keep the numbers lower. I put this file number on the back of each work print...voila! Negatives easy to find, going back decades. I now have forty to fifty boxes, and love them all.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Robust construction, but no 36-shot pages This binder has a good shell, strong rings and a stiff spring for the rings, so my first impression is that it will hold up well to use and should be long-lasting. The latching tabs have a strong 'snap' and a very positive lock when closed. The panels fit together to prevent 'cave-in' of edge panels. Unfortunately, there are two ways that it comes up short. The first problem (admittedly minor) is that the rings attach to the spine of the binder, so when you open and close it, the pages slide back and forth about 2 inches (5 cm). This creates a potential for pages at the back to be crumpled if they are very flexible or have a tendency to stick to the plastic of the binder. I have not noticed this to be a significant problem with the pages I have used, but care should be taken. The other problem is that it is not wide enough to completely fit 6-frame-wide 35mm negative pages. This means that if you want your negatives to be stored completely flat, you must use 5-frame-wide pages, limiting you to 35 frames per page; this is inconvenient for someone who shoots 36-frame rolls and typically gets 38 frames from said rolls. The 6th frame on each row is slightly curled when the binder is closed due to the 'extra' length, so if nothing else, it induces an irksome curl.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for the price and purpose I shoot a lot of film and buy about 7 of these per year. I store about 100 archival pages loaded with negatives.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Low cost way to safely store negatives I use these archival binders to store my black and white negatives, slides, contact sheets and more. Archival, because if you've followed archival film processing methods, you don't want that undermined by not then employing an archival storage method. The loose leaf style rings mate nicely with the holes in my archival pages, and the dimensions of the binder provide clearance for the widest pages. Most of my binders are black, but since the white ones are less expensive, and always in stock, I usually buy them. A possible detriment might be if the white ones were in a bright environment, as this might allow an amount of light to reach the negatives that would be less than optimal. However, the black ones, in a bright area receiving sun light, might generate heat, and that would definitely impact negatives negatively. No worries. They also come in gray, so one could have a color coded storage system -- say white for contact sheets, gray for negatives, and black for color. The binders are sturdy and may be stacked one upon the other, or placed vertically in a bookshelf.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid storage Binder This is a great binder. I find that most people use black binders and because I use a semi-public darkroom the white is a nice choice. Manufactured quality is nice, though it is plastic so don't expect it to survive a lifetime of use. The clasps in particular are prone to wearing out and falling off. Not to play devil's advocate, this binder will last a few years at the very least.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job I use these binders to hold my negative sleeves and some times some miscellaneous objects that I do not want to get lost, like test strips or something like that. I also have a grey one. For some reason the white one seems a little more flimsy than the grey. I also have a more difficult time getting the fasteners to close. It also seems to have a lot of static as every bit of fuzz and hair it comes into contact with sticks to it. I plan to try some anti-static cleaner or maybe run my antistaticum film cloth over it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Binder! I use this product for my black and white negatives. It keeps them in great shape, and locks out any type of dust or dirt. I ordered the white binder and surprisingly, it doesn't get dirty. The white looks like it did the day I bought it.
