Accurately measure the quality of your lights with this MAVOSPEC BASE Industrial Light Meter from Gossen. This spectrometer uses incident metering to measure light from 10-100,000 lux as well as in the visible light spectrum of 380-780nm. Also, it works with a variety of different types of lighting, including LEDs, fluorescent lights, halogen lamps, and natural daylight. It offers a variety of measurement options as well, including CRI, CCT, peak wavelength, color purity Duv, chromaticity, and flicker measurement. This meter even supports the TM-30-15 color rendering measurement of Rf and Rg as established by IES. The device is optimized for one-handed operation and has a 2.1" color 320 x 240 TFT display for viewing and changing settings. It can save readings to an included 4GB microSD card using a CSV format and runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack. Additionally, it has a USB port for firmware updates.

Supports TM-30-15 color rendering measurement method as established by the North American Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), which delivers more accurate measurement of both color fidelity and color saturation values
Measuring range of 10-100,000 lux
Spectral power distribution measurements of light between 380-780nm with the ability to determine peak and dominant wavelengths
Measures chromaticity and color coordinates with CIE 1931 [x,y], CIE 1960 [u,v], and CIE 1976 [u',v'] and display of the CIE standard color table
Can measure correlated color temperature as well as color rendering index Ra, as well as R1 through R15 values
Can measure flicker as an index, percentage, and frequency
Temperature sensor will help compensate for measurement changes throughout a wide temperature range
One-handed operation is made easy with a ring controller and keys alongside a 2.1" color TFT display
USB port for data transfer from the included 4GB microSD card as well as for future firmware updates
Can run for 8 hours continuously on a single charged battery or from an AC adapter.

How much is calibration? How often is it required?
Asked by: Tech Parts
Gossen recommends a calibration interval of 12 to 24 months, depending on the operating conditions of the measuring device. Unfortunately we do not offer any calibration services. The recalibration takes place in the GOSSEN light laboratory on a checked and monitored optical bench. You would need to contact Gossen directly for recalibration.

question

Can Gossen MAVOSPEC measures flash light?
Asked by: Serhat
Hi,The Mavospec cannot measure flash light in a proper way, due to the long integration time. However it's capable of providing spectral data for the flash light.Normally when measuring flash light, the aim is to set a proper exposure for the cameras. For this, the Mavospec is useless. For this purpose, use e. g. a Seconic exposure meter.Tore
