The Dual-Joint Tilter Bracket from Westcott is designed to facilitate articulating mounting of lights or accessories on a light stand. The Tilter Bracket has an industry-standard "Baby" 5/8" receiver attached to 2 swiveling ball joints that offer 180°+ tilting. The bracket is locked down by and oversized T-handle. At the top of the bracket is a 1/4"-20 male thread with an included 3/8"-16 bushing that will support gear weighing up to 20 lb. The threads will also accept adapters such as a 5/8" stud.

I am using this for Yongnuo YN600 panel lights and it is able to hold them in place well. I like that it is all one piece.

Slips easily

Received three of these with Westcott Flex lighting kits. The brackets are well made but slip easily even when cranked down HARD. The issue appears to be the smoothly finished surface of both the ball and the socket. It appears to be a non-branded version of the Kupo Super Knuckle (same markings on side opposite of handle) so I would steer clear of that product as well.� An alternate would be the�Avenger�F831 Baby Female Swivel with Ball�B&H�#�AVF831TH, or the Impact�Heavy Duty Swivel Pin�B&H�#�IMSRP118

Do these now ship with the Updated Westcott Peter Hurley 4 Light Kit?

Currently the Peter Hurley kits supplied from Westcott ship with 4 Center Jaw Grips and 4 Grip heads in lieu of the dual-joint tilter brackets.

Diana,This is not the same as the Dual Socket magic arm. It can serve a similar purpose particularly in lighter weight applications.
