Designed like tandem telescopes but with the familiar functioning of traditional binoculars, the Barska 16x70 WP Encounter Jumbo Binoculars are ideal for wide-field astronomical and long-distance terrestrial viewing. Powerful twin 16x eyepieces are set at a 45° angle to put the head in a comfortable position when and individually focused to enable users with different eye prescriptions to achieve tack-sharp views, and fold-down rubber eyecups mold themselves to the eye socket to block stray peripheral light from interfering with the observational experience. To accommodate a variety of mounting options, the sides of the optical tubes have mounting holes for an array of manual, motorized, or GoTo yoke mounts. A mounting hole on the bottom allows for a direct connection to a standard photo, video, or field tripod. Because of the size and weight of these binoculars, a support system is recommended for celestial observation of the moon, comet hunting, watching meteor showers, and also tracking distant birds, animals, or ships.

The housing is made of a lightweight and sturdy aluminum alloy with an elegant glossy champagne finish that will allow these Encounter binoculars to become an interesting accent in any room while maintaining its powerful functionality.
