Absolute Rubbish!

Sorry but this is absolute rubbish, or at least the copy I got it! The tolerances on each plug are so lose that nothing stays plugged into it. Plugs will come lose mid-shoot and shut your rig down!

Dtap ports are sloppy. Have to tape down connections for it to remain solid.

I'm an industry 1st AC and I've been using this Watson splitter for about a year now on countless cameras at this point and this thing has held up perfectly. Usually splitting power to a Teradek Tx, Nucleus Motor (or 2) and an onboard monitor. Haven't had any issues except for looseness at times. Anton Bauer D-Taps are usually skinnier than others (like Tilta's) and tend to slip out of this splitter. The nice thing is everything fits in it because of this. I usually use a small piece of pocket black gaff tape and make it go from end to end over this splitter across the tops of each D-Tap connection to hold it in place for the day when it goes low mod on Steadicam or the operator runs their hand past that spot too often. It works perfect

Decent splitter and works well. It will last longer than my crew will keep up with it.

Loose fitting dtaps

Shocking! I went with the Watson brand because they had never let me down thus far so when I read in other reviews for this item saying that the dtaps were loose, I assumed it was a one off. NOPE! None of my other dtaps fit securely. Such a waste of time to have to return this and get another one. I do not recommend this product

Good product. Unfortunately my super expensive small hd lemo 2 pins to d-tap cable doesn't hold super well in the D-Tap watson connector. It's to loose. I need tape to hold it there.

Can I power both a zacuto gratical eye and a SmallHD502 using this adapter - most of these splitters are rated for max of 10W, whereas these two devices wils require approximately 13W at full tilt. If not this Watson Dtap splitter, has anyone used another splitter for greater than 10W draw successfully? Thanks!
Asked by: Thomas
I'm pretty sure the rating is in amps, not watts. 14.4 volts * 10 amps = 144 watts.
