The podMIXai from Whirlwind is an active mixer which lets you combine a dynamic microphone with music from a smartphone, iPad, tablet, MP3 player, and more. The output sums the mix to mono and can be connected to a single line-level input of a sound system for use in gyms, banquet halls, conference rooms, or for paging/announcements over background music.
The podMIXai offers individual volume controls and on/off switches for matching, mixing, and muting the music source and the microphone. The microphone level can be boosted up to 60 dB, while the music level goes up to 20 dB. Red and yellow LEDs help you meter and confirm the output level.
