Is there a way to connect Sony RM-IP500 and use one of Tricaster SDI outputs to monitor camera selected on RM-IP500 panel?
Asked by: Jakub
We are not aware that the Vizrt TriCaster TC1 (2 RU) would support this configuration. Also the RM-IP500 does not have an SDI input or show the camera view on it's built in screen.

I don't see 16 NDI input on back of switcher, it is another open card you need to add ?
Asked by: Image dept. by KT
With the NewTek TriCaster TC1 (2 RU), 16 NDI inputs can be brought over a network, or one can use an encoder connected to the network like the NewTek NC2 Studio I/O Module, which converts SDI feeds into NDI. See the link below: https://bhpho.to/3AIFrB8

If i want to use this with an existing setup of 8 SDI cameras and 2 laptops, will I have to convert an additional 6 inputs to NDI? Is there a a larger scale solution than buying 6 (or more) individual converters?
Asked by: Tony
This has 4 SDI inputs. If you wanted to have an additional 6 sources going in, they would need to be through NDI. Newtek offers tools to make a PC an NDI Source and for the other cameras you'd need SDI to NDI converters. https://bhpho.to/3k59AyC
