Sennheiser XSW 2-ME3 Overview

The XSW2-ME3 Wireless Headset Microphone System features a true diversity receiver, a compact bodypack transmitter, and an ME 3-II headset microphone with a locking 1/8" mini-jack connector. It has 12 compatible channels and is offered as an easy to use, all-in-one wireless system for presenters, moderators, and other live-sound applications.

The system is built with automatic frequency management and synchronization so you don't have to scramble to find an available channel. It offers an intuitive LCD display, two external antennas, and is built with a metal receiver housing. In addition, a rackmount kit, power supply, carry pouch, and two AA batteries are also included.

So, we where looking for a set up that is basically a plug and play system.� This worked GREAT!!!� This will just plug into our internal system with out having the secondary equipment...plug and play...

Is there a more discrete microphone that can be used with this?

Yes, you can use a headset or lavalier microphone that is wired for use with a Sennheiser transmitter such as the Galaxy Audio HSM3 Dual-Ear Headset Microphone with 4 Cables (B&H # GAHS3OBG4MXD) or Samson DE10x Omnidirectional Miniature Headset Microphone for Wireless Transmitters (B&H # SADE10X). Both the Galaxy Audio and Samson mics include four detachable adapter cables with the following connectors: locking 3.5mm, Hirose 4-pin, TA3F, and TA4F. The cables with locking 3.5mm connectors are compatible for use with Sennheiser transmitters. These are just two examples. We do have other options.
