Similar to the monitor arm, this piece is made of a high grade plastic. When spending this much on a handle, you really expect metal... however, this is a beefy handle and will hold up with NO issues. It is seriously a beast. I’m happy I purchased it! Just wish both screws were thumb screws. The Allen screw basically defeats the purpose of having any thumb screw at all...

Yes, The Canon HDU-2 handle unit has two 1/4 20 mounting points on the top as well as a shoe.

This unit is specifically for the C200 and C200B. We do not recommend it for the C300 Mark II, it may not be a proper fit.

The Canon HDU-2 Handle Unit is designed for use with the C200/C200B but it will work with the Canon C300 Mark III.
