The 3 x 3' Axler Portable Medium Duty Shooting Riser allows event photographers and videographers to rise above crowds or barriers and get an unobstructed view of all the action.

Carry it with you to any location in the included carry cases, set it up in about a minute without any tools, and climb right on top along with your tripod and camera.

Measuring 3 x 3', the Shooting Riser is large enough to provide the needed support, but has a relatively small footprint for when space is at a premium. Also, multiple units can seamlessly be placed together to offer an expanded area.

The riser provides 33" of height elevation and supports up to 450 lb, and the overall aluminum construction provides sturdy support. There is also a leveling foot on the bottom of one of the legs that is twist-adjustable to compensate for uneven surfaces.

When you're done, simply pack it away piece by piece. It features only a few components: folding legs, two support rails that secure on the edges of the legs, and three platforms that sit on the rails. The legs pack away into a slim bag, and the other components into a separate, larger case. Both cases have padded carrying straps.

Portable Medium Duty Shooting Riser (3 x 3') is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from STURDY AND PORTABLE This is a nice size riser/platform if you need to travel with it a lot. It comes in two cases but it is not too heavy and its what I was expecting in weight. The bottoms of the feet can be adjusted for un even surfaces and the legs are all one piece so you simply open them up. They are really lightweight. I have found myself using this as a table sometimes due to it being so easy to put together. It has the build quality of a sturdy aluminum ladder if that makes sense. The platform section is three sections that you lay across after you put the two end pieces on top of two opposite ends. Since its a square it does not matter which side as long as it is across from each other. Lay the three platform pieces on it and then you are good to go. It is pretty sturdy with an easy set up. I stood on the very edge of it and it never felt like it could tip over without any additional weight or gear on the platform. I weigh about 180lbs but its rated for at least twice that. While the 4x4 is larger you just have to ask yourself what you need. In certain scenarios bigger is not always better. It comes down to what you do. This is great for event photography or videographers that need to stand above the crowd. You can also use this for creative shoots such as music videos or photo shoots to get higher angles. I actually like using it as a table. You can easily put a heavy duty video tripod and have enough room to operate with the 3x3. What I thought about was overall carrying weight, storage size (vehicles may be limited to what can fit for traveling) and the height. While some may want additional height , I did not think height advantage was more important than being easier to get on the platform with your gear by yourself with no step stool. This one would be a lot easier to get on than the larger 4x4 option. I am of average height and can get up pretty easily on this one. If you are not moving this around so much and are using it say in a Church facility where it never gets folded up etc. then I would probably recommend the 4x4. If you simply need the size or height then its also the 4x4. If you want convenience and potentially more portability then I definitely recommend this 3x3.
