Designed for active photographers, the gray CCS G3 Harness-1 from Cotton Carrier helps to evenly distribute the weight of a camera with a long lens. This arrangement keeps the camera at the ready for making the most of spontaneous photographic opportunities, while also keeping hands free, equipment safer from grab-and-go theft, and reducing unwanted camera movement. Photographers will appreciate the one-size-fits-all approach, comprised of adjustable shoulder straps and a quick-release waist belt.

Two stash pockets for memory cards or batteries and a large exterior pocket provide storage for accessories. The CCS G3 Harness is constructed from Kodra synthetic canvas and anodized aluminum, and features a Twist & Lock camera mounting system and vented back panel. Included with your harness are a hub with rubber washer, camera hub mounting bolt and tether strap, an Allen key, tether split-ring, and a rain cover.

Advantages

A quick-release waist belt with speed straps, two stash pockets for carrying extra memory cards or small items on the front, a large outside pocket on the back, and a touch-fastening lens hold-down strap work together for improved hands-free usage with greater mobility.

Twist & Lock Mount

The Twist & Lock camera mount system provides stability and security. One twist locks the camera in place, making it difficult for grab-and-go theft. It also stabilizes the camera so the wearer is free to move vigorously without excessive camera movement/banging.

Tripod Compatibility

The CCS G3 Camera Harness features a Twist & Lock mounting system. Included is an aluminum flat-hub which mounts onto all cameras with a 1/4"-20 tripod mounting socket. This hub also has its own 1/4"-20 tripod mount.

Optional Items - Sold Separately

Option 1: Add the Hand Strap for those times when you need a little extra stability.

Option 2: 10-Degree Angled Hub for a DSLR with a long lens.

Option 3: Universal Tripod Adapter Plate. This plate is compatible with most tripod heads on the market. It is cut to fit directly into any Arca-Swiss style head, and designed with enough adjustment holes to slide back and forth on the bottom of your camera to leave the battery door accessible.

What is the maximum torso adjustment? (Chest size?)
Asked by: Steven
I just adjusted mine out as far as I would want to take it and if you are under 64" around the bottom of your rib cage, you can get it on. I say that because mine does not go down to my waste. And if you are a bigger taller guy or gal the strap would ride higher yet. But still 64" diameter at that point.

Yes, the weight of the camera and lens is distributed across my shoulders.

Can this be worn under a backpack?
Asked by: Edwin
Yes, it could be. Please note that it will likely be putting weight in just about the same area as the straps to your backpack will. So, you may alternatively wish to consider mounting your camera to the backpack strap, for example with a Capture Clip (B&H# PECPBK3): https://bhpho.to/37P3pvd

Can the attachment to the vest be with the telephoto lens itself, not the camera body? My concern is I have only seen images of the main camera body attached. as we all know with heavy telephoto lenses it should be attached to the lens to avoid stress on the camera mount. thank you in advance for any help.
Asked by: Carla
I think it could work, but it would not be ideal. The body plus the long lens would end up being quite heavy. That may make it uncomfortable. The harness does work very well with a full frame DSLR and "standard" lens.

I need back support. Does this harness provide that?
Asked by: Cathy
Technically no, but it would certainly be much better than using a heavy camera on a traditional strap around your neck or shoulder. This harness would take some strain off your back compared to most other camera carriers.
