Photos show all the options. Just what is it that this case comes with? I see the TrekPak with mesh pockets in the top and TrekPak with egg carton foam in the top. Which is it for the 1510TP with Trekak Divider System?
I bought this as a pelican case kit, and not as a separate divider kit. The case came with the egg crate foam lid, and there is a thinner foam bottom at the case. There is also a thin cushion that goes around the perimeter of the case and made out of the same material as the dividers. The divider kit comes in a few lengths of the material. The instructions ask you to lay out the contents in the bottom so that you can visualize the layout of your case. Then you measure where the dividers will go. It comes with a little cutter that is easy to use. It fits into the tiny holes in the divider material, and you always make a perfect cut. Then you use these little U-shaped metal clips with a red ribbon attached to fix the dividers in place.
I have two of these cases, and both times I had plenty of divider material left so that I could reconfigure later if I needed to.
If you have a lid organizer, it will still work with this kit, but the kit came with egg crate foam.

I want to keep my lens always mounted to the body for quick retrieval. Will the trekPack divider system accommodate this type of long configuration?
Yes it will, the TrekPak offers a lot of customization in how you setup the dividers, just make sure it is large enough for your equipment. I wouldn't ship the equipment with the camera mounted though. This case is used for shipping or checking in under an airplane, when doing that better to keep the lens disconnected from the body in order not to place pressure on the mount when the case is thrown around.

question
I've been researching this bag, and am ready to purchase but am running into an issue... I've looked at the 1510 Studio Case B&H#PE1510SCB but then I found this one, B&H#PE1510DB for nearly $80 less. The only difference I've been able to find is the ability to store my laptop in the sleeve, is that all I'm getting for the extra $80?
Yes, that is the only difference. I looked at both at a physical store and that was it. I fitted the bag in-store with some of my gear and my concern was there is a potential for damaging your laptop. Depending on the height of your body and lenses, items will stick up past the height of the main case. Closing the lid with your laptop stored in there could potentially dent or damage your laptop. I went with this case and carry my laptop in a separate backpack. The case itself is outstanding. Mine has seen over 100k miles across the world as looks brand new. I never worry about my gear.
