I needed an adapter for my tiny M mount lens and it works just fine. The locking mechanism is basically the same as that on an M camera and everything fit to perfection. It felt just right.
I've accumulated quite a few M lenses over the years as I started with an M3 years ago. I now have an M(240) which is a terrific camera but I don't use it as much as I'd like because I find the rangefinder a bit difficult to use sometimes. So I've recently purchased an SL2-S, which I really like especially when using long lenses. This adapter allows me to use my M lenses on the SL2-S. Leica must have designed the SL2-S sensor with the M lenses in mind, because the results are stunning. Focus peaking in the SL2-S works great with my M lenses, so manual focusing is easy and straightforward. The adapter is expensive but beautifully made. I'm happy I bought it.
