Rollei Superpan 200 overview

  • 1Description

Rollei/Agfa's Superpan 200 is a medium-speed panchromatic black and white negative film based on Agfa's AVI PAN aerial film, and exhibits a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24°. It has extended sensitivity near the infrared range, up to 750nm, and well-controlled contrast in order to cut through haze, fog, and other atmospheric conditions. Its very fine grain structure also contributes to high overall sharpness and this film is particularly well-suited to technical, industrial, and aerial photography applications. Additionally, its wide exposure latitude enables rating the film at EI 125 with consistent results and controlled tonal values.

This item is a 100' roll of 35mm film.

Rollei Superpan 200 reviews

Superpan 200 Black and White Negative Film (35 mm Roll Film, 100') is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perhaps my favourite bw film. Perhaps my favourite bw film. It has multiple personalities: in Rodinal is crispy and contrasted, in other developers is more gentle. Using it with an infrared or deep red filter it becomes a film capable to catch nearer infrared. Very high resolution in any developer. It has also the more transparent support I've ever seen. What else could you ask? On the other side this is not a forgiving film. It needs to be exposed as it should and it doesn't respond well to push processing (still it's possible though). Great for reportage, street, nude, landscapes. Not so much when you need a fast film.
