Rollei Superpan 200 overview

  • 1Description

Rollei/Agfa's Superpan 200 is a medium-speed panchromatic black and white negative film based on Agfa's AVI PAN aerial film, and exhibits a nominal sensitivity of ISO 200/24°. It has extended sensitivity near the infrared range, up to 750nm, and well-controlled contrast in order to cut through haze, fog, and other atmospheric conditions. Its very fine grain structure also contributes to high overall sharpness and this film is particularly well-suited to technical, industrial, and aerial photography applications. Additionally, its wide exposure latitude enables rating the film at EI 125 with consistent results and controlled tonal values.

This item is one 36-exposure roll of 35mm film.

Rollei Superpan 200 reviews

Superpan 200 Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful I use this in 35mm and 120, the results can be stunning. Cuts haze in distant landscapes, renders industrial or 'dilapidated' scenes well. There is a learning curve with this, so you may need to shoot a few rolls get familiar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful film I really enjoyed working with this film. Although another reviewer mentions a learning curve, for me, it behaved as expected. Its near-IR characteristics are pretty easily drawn out using a Hoya R72 (and plenty of sunlight). I also shot unfiltered and with a red 25, and was very pleased in both cases with the film's fine grain and gorgeous contrast. Bonus for scanning: the film dries rather flat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of my favorites A really unique film, lot's of fun to shoot. Latitude isn't all that great so know your light! Great contrast and plenty sharp. I've shot it at 400 with good results. Totally recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong Constrast This film seems to have strong B&W. Some say to rate as 125 iso and others recommend green filters to make the tones pop.
