Don't do it. Go for the trekpak. If you really change up your kit often this could be good I guess, but I found the dividers either too long or too short to hold my Canon kit efficiently. And note that you get what is pictured and nothing more. The description says you get: ...one long divider, four medium dividers, five short dividers, and four elastic hold-down straps. But note that there are NO long dividers that span the long dimension of the case. This description is totally wrong, although again the photo is accurate, you get two folding dividers that can span the short dimension of the case, six medium and two small dividers, and the straps. You do also get a top egg crate foam which is nice. I have another 1510 I bought from Pelican with their Velcro dividers years ago, and it came with a long divider, which gives you much more flexibility. These dividers are a very soft material that feels a bit like microfiber. They will be soft on your gear, but they don't feel that durable and feel like they'll collect dust and debris easily. The velcro itself seems to shed these little black pieces of plastic which gets embedded in the material. It may not do any harm, but it looks sloppy. I recommend the trekpak instead and should have ordered that to begin with. Thankfully B&H's excellent customer service means I can exchange for what I should have bought to begin with.
I honestly was hesitant about getting this Pelican Divider for my Pelican case 1510 because it is pricey. I've had the Foam one and I noticed I kept wasting money buying a new foam every time I decided to add a new lens. So I thought why not go and spend the extra cash on the pelican padded divider? And I have to say that I am so glad I did. My equipment feels so secure and love that I can change things up and not have to spend the extra money on a new divider.
