    LensCoat Raincap reviews

RainCap Large (Realtree Max5) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slips easily over the lens hood to protect front element There are times when I want to protect the front element of the 600mm lens and not have to remove the lens hood to put on a covering. The LensCoat Raincap in the large size slips easily of the hood and has an elastic draw string that can be cinched tight to keep it from slipping off when carrying the lens while it is on the tripod. There is also a strap with a clip so that the raincap can be attached to the tripod when not needed and this is a nice addition. For the $20 cost it is one of the better values from LensCoat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why wouldn't you? It only makes good sense to add this to the Realtree rain coat cover. Your already out there and if the wind changes, this cover makes it so easy, quick and convenient to protect the lens from water spotting. The rain cap comes with a strap and clip to keep it handy and close. The material of this and the rain coat are almost silent. I think the cost for this and the raincoat are a small price to pay for the protection and the ability to stay and get the shot. If your serious why let a little rain or snow stop you?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from RainCap-Large (Realtree Max4) by LensCoa great for my 600mm lens and compact

Rated 3 out of 5 by from May have gotten more than what I bargained for. When used with hood in reversed position, the lens cap internal tape (over the seams) may come in contact with lens element and possibly causing abrasion and scratches. A tad too big and loose so doesn't stretches tight and fitting over the reversed hood. Have not used it when hood deployed. Should work fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from excellent product, but incomplete This is a much better solution than the normal lens caps from LensCoat. Its lighter, bigger, wraps around the front of the lens much better, AND (biggest advantage) you cant lose it because it has a strap ... BUT (biggest disadvantage) it doesnt come with a strap! And the website doesnt tell you that ... You ought to buy this in addition: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/733017-REG/Pearstone_s0512_10_b_5_x_12_Touch.html to make it work ... One of these straps is enough to wrap around most lenses with a 77 mm filter ring size (most 24-70 or 70-200 f2.8). For bigger lenses (like a Sigma 150-600 Sports) youll need to put two of these straps together to make it work but its very functional and reliable. If they would portray this accurately on the website and offer this with the straps, Id give it 5 stars ... now, they are misrepresenting the product and dont offer the right accessories ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, a must have! I ordered this size for a Nikon 200-500 Lens but its huge and too big for the Nikon 200-500Lens Hood, I can cinch it down but is to floppy on this particular lens. I'mgoing to order the Small and hopefully it fits.. Will Leave a Review on the Small size as well when I get it. It ismade reallywell and will be using it with the pro raincoatin Hawaii soon..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good protection Simple protection for your lens. It doesn't replace the lens cover that came with the lens but is good for out in the field when you are waiting for the shot and it's snowing or raining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch rain coat lens cover Top notch rain coat lens cover. I even use it to replace the original black soft lens cap of the sigma 150-600 mm sports
