Can you connect the Rode Videomic to a Sony F5 -- ...

Can you connect the Rode Videomic to a Sony F5 -- using a mini-XLR adapter? Is it possible to connect the Rode Videomic to a wireless transmitter (Senn G3)?
Asked by: Adam
Yes about the adapter. As for using it with the Sennheiser G3, the wiring configuration may not work in the Beltpack transmitter (You can try it though, as it wouldn't harm it), but if you have the plug-on transmitter, it will work with the same XLR adapter that will work for the F5

What is the estimated run time of the Rode Videomic Pro+ when using AA batteries?
Asked by: Samuel L.
The estimated run time for the Rode VideoMic Pro+ when using standard alkaline AA batteries is approximately 70 hours. Lithium batteries are typically higher capacity than alkaline batteries and higher capacity batteries will last longer. Keep in mind that there are additional factors like temperature and humidity that will directly affect battery performance.

Can you plug this mike directly into your iPhone?

Can you plug this mike directly into your iPhone?
Asked by: Mark
This mic has a 3.5 mm stereo minijack. iPhones typically have a Lightning port. A Lightning to mini-jack adapter cable might work for a microphone since it works for headphones. However, I have not tried it. Other mikes like the Shure MV88 plug directly into the iPhone Lightning port and provide credible sound with controls over width of cardioid pattern.

How do I mount this to a BMPCC4K? I purchased a ProMediaGear 1/4"-20 Screw to Cold Shoe Adapter but it does not slide in still.
Asked by: Patrick
As far as I can tell, you have the right gear to make this work. If the lock-nut on the Microphone is open and you are still experiencing difficulties, perhaps something is damaged or bent (either on the mic or on the show adapter)?
