The Octabox is so large that many photographers use it as their only light source since it offers delicate illumination and open shadows. Optional translucent deflectors bounce light to the back of the Octabox to remove the hot spot and further soften the light. A separately purchased hooded diffuser limits spill light, while an optional collapsible fabric grid narrows the beam angle and thwarts spill light. The light shaper's separately purchased speed ring has spring-loaded sockets that allow you to mount the support poles in sockets tension-free, then snap them into place. The Octabox has a silver interior for maximum output and comes with a bag for storage and transport.
