Designed to make aligning your SkyTracker Pro or SkyGuider Pro mounts easier and more precise, the iOptron Alt-Azimuth Adjustable Base allows you to set and lock your latitude for equatorial alignment with the pole star (Polaris) at night and with True North during the day. The 80mm diameter base is equipped with a larger 3/8"-16 mount to fit many photo, video, or field tripods, and the top Vixen-style dovetail saddle enables the tracking mount head to simply slide on and lock in place. Built to be used almost anywhere on the planet, it has a latitude adjustment range from -30° to 65°

The iOptron Alt-Azimuth Adjustable Base (BH # IO3327) does not include a dove-tail plate. iOptron recommends the iOptron Top Plate for Alt-azimuth Adjustable Base P-3327-VP and the iOptron 7" Vixen Style Universal Dovetail Plate (B&H # IO8422178).
