    Canon TS6120 reviews

PIXMA TS6120 Wireless All-in-One Inkjet Printer (Black) is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Slow, but good print quality I received this Cannon Pixma TS6120 printer free to give an honest review of the product. This printer was not at all user friendly. It took me FOREVER to set it up. There were way too many steps. Even putting in printer ink was a hassle. Once I got it all set up, I had to print a test page. The test page, which was only about 1/3 of the page took, what seemed to me, a very long time to print. It took about 2 minutes. That is a long time for 1/3 of the page. The print quality however, was very good. Compared to other printers the print quality was above others, but was very far behind on user friendliness, speed, and set up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great small printer I received a free Canon Pixma Printer to review and I was happy with the product. It was the perfect size for an at-home printer, but has all of the necessary features - Printer, copier and scanner. It`s also wireless, so you can print right from your phone, which is a nice feature. The one thing I didn`t like about this printer, is the paper input tray. I prefer to have a hidden tray so I don`t have to load paper each time I print something, but I think that would require the printer to be larger. Overall, I think this is a perfect printer for someone who doesn`t do a ton of printing and has limited space (students or young families).

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst Canon Printer I've Ever Owned ~ and the last I bought a Canon PIXMA TS6200 printer around Thanksgiving. I've used Canon printers with my Apple computers for as long as I can remember. On balance, my past Canon printers have been simple to operate, produced good quality printing, and had reasonably good software. However, my experience with the TS6200 has been a nightmare. Mediocre software and confusing set-up, printing problems with simple and routine printing tasks, and impossible label printing from the back tray . And the on-line manual has been useless, as the directions given, especially for printing from the back tray, simply do not work. This product is a total dud and is symptomatic the decreasing quality and reliability of Canon printers. I can say with absolute certitude that this is the worst canon printer I've ever owned, and it will be my last. If I could give the TS6200 zero stars, I would because it is an absolute piece of junk and a waste of any user's money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Compact, quiet and easy to use After receiving this PIXMA TS6120 BK Printer free to review I was very impressed. Out of box was very simple. The loose parts were securely taped and well padded. Set up was easy as well. One thing I did notice was the top lid is very thin. I guess I am used to having a heavier lid with a feeder. It is a compact size so it does fit in smaller spaces. I did not connect it to my computer. It is a stand alone printer used mainly by my children's chromebooks and our personal devices/phones. The instructions provided are easy to follow. I did have to research how to connect the chromebooks. This is a newer printer so it is not listed. I am sure it will be listed later. When I want to print I lift the front panel and turn it on. I select the printer on my device and out it comes. It is quiet too. I am impressed with the quality and ease of use. I would recommend this printer to others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a great compact, multi-functional printer! This printer takes a bit of time to register, get set-up and connected to wifi, and loaded with multiple ink cartridges, but after the initial set-up, it`s the best printer I`ve ever owned. Technology has come a long way in the 5-10 years since I`ve shopped for a printer for my home! The size is small enough to fit on top of a desk, in a drawer or underneath the desk and doesn`t take up too much space. I love that there are built-in features like coloring-book pages and Nickelodeon that I can view on the screen and print. Or login to my Facebook, Instagram or GooglePhotos, scroll to the pictures I want printed. Plus the AirPrint feature through Bluetooth allows me to print right from my iPhone or iPad - which is so convenient! I received a free sample in exchange for writing a review. Thanks, Canon!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good cheap printer I received this promo unit for free to write a review. I was the very pleased with this printer even though it is a low end printer. The good: 1. Easy to unbox 2. Nice aesthetics 3. Print quality is very good for a 100$ printer 4. Light weight The Bad 1. Printer feels cheap 2. Setup is awful, buggy Canon software. Requires you to be logged in as the local administrator even if you are logging in with administrative rights. 3. Goes through ink fast Overall I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a low cost printer. The good outweighs the bad.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Prints Good Eventually I almost always get an error message "printer is offline" when I try to print, requiring a shutdown and restart. Very annoying to have to make multiple trips to the printer to get the job done. When it finally finishes, print quality is good.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Overly-complicated machine I received this printer for free through a program in exchange for the review below. My household has both a custom-built desktop PC running Windows 8.1 and a Mac OSX laptop. Initially, the printer was easy to connect to the PC via a wired USB connection (via a cable that was NOT included in the package and I needed to take from an older printer I`ve owned). Connecting it to the PC via wireless through my router proved difficult, which resulted in me doing the wired connection. The included installation CD is only compatible with windows OSes and includes a lot of bloatware, but it did provide for a quick installation. Shortly after connecting the printer and running the CD, I was printing and scanning on my PC. To this date, after about two weeks, I have been incapable of connecting the printer to my Mac laptop via wireless connection. The included installation CD does not work with it and no drivers are available from the manufacturer`s website. The printer has a strange form factor with many portions that slide in and out for everyday functions like document feeding or printing. To even print a single page you need to effectively grab the front of the machine where the screen and buttons reside and flip it up so that printed paper can come out. With the front of the machine flipped up, the previously smooth and featureless form factor looks ugly, but with it closed you cannot leave it open for printing (which proves difficult if you, for instance, keep your printer in a room away from your computer). The same goes for the document feeder in the back of the machine. Printing itself, however, is quite fast, and resolution and quality are high. The biggest issue I have with the printer, however, comes from scanning. Selecting `scan` on the printer itself, always saves images as PDFs instead of other image formats. I have fiddled with the software settings on my computer and settings on the PC itself and there is no way to alter this behavior. If you scan from the printer, or select the `auto scan` function on the included software, it will be an automatically cropped PDF, which is not always a good idea. It is incredibly complicated and requires you to spend a long time sifting through the software options to be able to scan as a JPEG or other image, and it`s intuitive to find which scanning function will actually follow your preference for a JPEG and produce one. This printer appears to lack an audo-document scanning feature for multiple pages. The printer`s ink wells are small and non-refillable. Having printed fewer than ten pages of documents since I received my printer, I`ve already seen a noticeable dip in the ink well levels. Overall, it`s a serviceable and pretty printer with many issues. I would not have purchased this with my own money if given the chance and allowed to comparison shop. 2/5 stars.
