good quality but the 6x6' has a seam

good quality. using the 6x6' grid cloth 1/2 stop diffusion version to drape over a cstand. there is a seam but for my use case, the seam is early in the fabric, maybe 6inches in, so i jus tuck that portion behind the c stand arm. packs away easily. seems durable for indoors

Can this be mounted directly to a Westcott Flex 1x1 panel, without using the scrim jim frame?

Unfortunately, a Scrim Jim frame is required to mount this diffusion panel to a Westcott Flex 1 x 1.

No, the Westcott Scrim Jim Cine 1/2-Stop Grid Cloth Diffuser Fabric (4 x 4') is not compatible with the original Scrim Jim.

The frame has velcro along its edges that stick to velcro along the edges of the diffuser. it is very secure.

No. I created a frame with (1 inch) PVC Pipes and L Joints. Works well. Solid fabric.

Would these fasten over a Matthews 4x4' frame?

Grid cloth diffuses the light while making it more directional versus standard diffusion which simply spreads the light as needed.
