This is the first tripod I buy, and I'm very disappointed.  First, the head holding the camera is made of plastic that looks and feels cheap. I haven't used it enough to experience durability issues though. I would ignore this if it wasn't for 2 bigger issues: My main complaint is that the head is not mounted correctly to the center arm, it's skewed at an angle, making pan impossible. I drew reference lines on the attached photo to illustrate this. The other problem is that the level bubbles are completely useless, they're not accurate at all. So I have to go by eye and use a separate level to adjust things.

Practical lightweight tripod!

Great For The Price

I was looking for an inexpensive monopod/tripod combo to use while hiking, and came across this on a Deal Zone sale for a really good price. So I grabbed one, and was impressed by the features and build immediately upon opening the box. The monopod has been a reliable companion on the first two trips out of the house, riding comfortably in the trekking pole loops on my pack. Honestly, this would be a good purchase at regular price. For what I paid, it's a no-brainer.

Arrived in good shape, but center pole was not screwed tightly into the pan head. Once that was done then the tripod was stable and appears to work well. The monopod feature is nice to have.
