I do a lot of alt photo processes, however and I have a lot of trays - but I wanted to use a warmer mat to keep my solutions at a "higher than room temperature" condition. My other trays had long bumps on the bottom and prevented good contact. The Yankee trays are essentially flat and allow the bottom of the tray to contact the mat. Also the internal ribs are very low and allow me to minimize the amount of toner / developer I use.
