Yankee C-1114 reviews

Plastic Ribbed Developing Tray 11x14" - Set of 3 is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hard to pick paper out of the tray I wouldn't recommend these trays, reason is first they are not hard plastic, when the tray is filled with chems and I wanna pour them back in bottles they get flimsy and you could easily spill chems on the floor. If you are in a lab not a big deal but if you are like me in a kitchen, you have to clean the chems out of the floor. Second concern is that it's really hard to pick the paper from the tray using tongs, I usually pick the paper from the tray lets say for dev 10 seconds before time elapse, but sometimes with these trays it may take more convencing the paper to come out of the trays

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good luck getting your prints out... I have a home darkroom, so the trays were very cost efficient for me. However, there IS a reason. The ribbing on the bottom of the tray is virtually non-existent. If you are using conventional bamboo tongs, you will not be able to get your prints out of the tray. I had to resort to using the very thin plastic ones that like to scratch the emulsion off. I'm to the point where I'm actually considering using my fingers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from they work What is good about a plastic tray, is that agitating the solution during processing can consist of a simple lift of the corner of the tray - which then flexes and keeps things moving in a smooth manner. You can work this with one finger. Con of a plastic, flexible tray, is that if you have to carry it across the room to dump, as you hold it, it continues to flex, making it tricky to keep the solutions from spilling. Developer tray is a bit tricky to clean - I need to use more than a sponge and warm water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great item not availabe in the UK It is such a shame that I couldn't get this in the UK and have had to pay huge postage to get it shipped so it worked out expensive. It is just what I needed to fit my sink so well done B&H. I am finding increasingly that the only place to find what I'm looking for is in the USA!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durable and they fit my darkroom sink I ordered these so that I can use 5 11X14 trays in my darkroom sink. My other trays are 12X16 and will not fit. I have a set of 8X10 Yankee trays that have held up just fine over the years. The price on this set doesn't get any better!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great for a Cheap Product These are great, very cheap trays, that are very large for 8x10 prints, and are not very deep. I wish that I had bought smaller but deeper trays for my 8x10 prints but these work fine as well.
