I had been using a Promedia gear BH1 ball head to support my Fujifilm GFX 100 with bracket and 55mm lens but, without a friction control knob it was difficult to use and eventually wouldn't lock my camera in place consistently. I needed a smooth large ball head with drag control and plenty of lockdown to hold my gear confidently in place. The Leofoto LH-55 has been working just as I had hoped. Zero play when locked. Very smooth. And, adjustable friction control knob to fine tune the ball head to the weight of my gear. The price was very reasonable, particularly compared to some of the other popular ball heads in this size range. So far I'm very pleased with the LH-55. It's been a pleasure to use.

This ball head is simply splendid. It's rock solid and supports my heaviest gear without breaking a sweat (Nikon d810 with Nikon 200-500 lens). Craftsmanship is excellent, and the operation of the unit is very smooth and secure. Could not afford it's doppelganger but got this at a really right price and am definitely not disappointed. You should not be disappointed either.

There's no "In the Box" for this. I think the head includes an Arca camera plate. Then when I put one in the cart, they ask, "do you want a camera plate?" Just enough uncertainty to make me buy a second camera plate or not buy. Can somebody confirm that I get a ball head and a plate for my $186?
