Gets the job done - decent for travel

I needed a lighter stand to use with my Alienbees light for travel jobs (my studio stand is 30 lb). This was a great price point and it works fine. Not as light as my Matthews Reverse Stand, but it has greater stability which I appreciate.

I found the quality excellent and affordable... I use them for microphones to record large scale groups, a symphony orchestra for example.. I currently own 9 stands, 2 short units 3- 9 ft units and 4- 13 ft They are also of course usable for lighting fixtures and have served in that configuration for me too.

How much off the ground is the center pole ...

How much off the ground is the center pole supposed to be when extended correctly? does it sit flush to the floor long with the three legs?

Generally, the center column of this stand should sit flush with the bottom of the stand base, which is about 2-3 inches from the floor.
