The core of any light kit consists of light stands that hold fixtures, reflectors, and accessories, such as this set of two Heavy-Duty Air-cushioned 9.5' Light Stands from Impact. Each black-anodized, three-section stand can support loads weighing up to 22 lb. The stand has a removable 5/8" top stud with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 male threads to cover all mounting eventualities. It rises to a maximum height of 114" (9.5'), and has a wide 52" leg spread or footprint for rock-solid support and balance. A valuable asset is the stand's air-cushioning. If you've ever had a light come crashing down from a loose knob or because of a harried schedule, you'll appreciate this feature. The pneumatic action of the air-cushioning gently lowers your fixture when making height adjustments, avoiding damage of expensive equipment. The stands accept optional wheels for smooth repositioning without lowering the gear to minimum height.

Impact LS-96HABI Reviews
bought, used 2x and broke
there is small plastic pieces that slide into the sections and they fall out very easily. One fell out of mine after 2-3 uses and now it is useless unless i call mfg and pay shipping to them to repalce/fix which prob would cost same as stand. very disappointing
Bought these stands for my Godox lights. Used these stands outside and had no issues with the wind.
So far, it's great
I did not know how big it is in person (subjective). It does the job done and the air cushion is clutch when cleaning up, better than my other one.
I've got 5 of these and they are great. Not quite a C-stand but if you don't need something that stout these are a great option.
Good budget-friendly light stand
This light stand is a great choice for budget-friendly light stand. It feels solid and sturdy, easy to use and folds up nicely. I have no complaints.
More Than I Needed
I should've understood what I was getting. This thing is solid, larger than I was expecting (Because I didn't fully understand what all the specs meant). This is not some portable (as in light-weight) stand. It's definitely more geared for studios. It does fold up to a 4-foot/1.3ish-meter length, so you could carry it around if you need to.
Great Light Stand
This was a great purchase. It's perfect and way better than the light stands my work had previously purchased as part of kit along with our old lights. Currently pairing it with the Amaran 200x and I will probably purchase another soon.
This lighting stand is perfect. It's light, has large legs, great footprint and sturdy to hold a heavy light along with a good size soft box.
