The Sound Shark by Klover SS1-ACC-K-KEQ-WC Parabolic Microphone ACC Equalized XLR Kit includes a parabolic collector, a Countryman B3 omnidirectional lavalier microphone, an XLR connector with equalization circuitry, a custom accessory mounting bracket (already installed), and a lavalier microphone wind cover. The kit enables wedding, event, and sports videographers, or independent filmmakers, to capture audio signals from a greater distance and with more clarity than when using a standard mic, producing videos that truly make the viewers feel like they are experiencing the action up close.
The parabolic collector turns the lavalier mic into a long-range microphone capable of capturing audio from 30 to 50'. The parabolic dish design focuses the sound energy from a large area onto a single point, zeroing in on your subject, while rejecting unwanted ambient noise from the side and back of the mic. The shape of the dish shields the microphone from wind noise, making it ideal for outdoors use. The wind cover provides additional wind protection while remaining acoustically transparent.
The Countryman B3 lavalier microphone is custom-built to provide a deep, natural sound when used with the included parabolic collector. It comes with an XLR connector that works with most professional video cameras and recorders. The connector houses an electronic circuit that equalizes the output of the mic to match the acoustic characteristics of the parabolic collector and optimize your sound.
The accessory mounting bracket allows flash shoe accessories, such as compact LED lights (available separately), to be mounted to the base of the collector.
