Can I just plug the lav mic into the audio jack on my GH5 without using the XLR connector? Looks like that in the picture
No. The Countryman B3 Lavalier Mic included with the Sound Shark SS1-ACC-K-KEQ-WC Parabolic Microphone ACC Equalized XLR Kit has a hardwired XLR connector so it will not connect directly to the mic input on the Panasonic Lumix GH5 Mirrorless Camera. You will need to use a separate on-camera XLR adapter that can supply phantom power, or you would need to use a different lavalier mic with a standard 3.5mm TRS connector (any omnidirectional lavalier mic with a diameter of up to 0.31"/8mm that will function with plug-in power). As another option, you can purchase the Sound Shark SS1-ACC Long-Range Dish with Accessory Bracket (B&H # SOSS1ACC) separately to use with a different lavalier microphone of your choice. The Countryman B3 Omni Lavalier Mic, Low Sens, with 3.5mm Non-Locking Connector for Azden Wireless Transmitters (B&H # COB3W5BZP) should work with the camera. For an on-camera XLR adapter, you can use the Beachtek DXA-MICRO-PRO Active XLR Compact Adapter (B&H # BEDXAMICROP), the Comica Audio CVM-AX3 Dual-Channel Audio Mixer for DSLRs (B&H # COCVMAX3), or the Saramonic SR-PAX1 Two-Channel Audio Mixer, Preamp, Microphone Adapter (B&H # SASRPAX1). Or for a lower-priced option, you can use the Comica Audio LinkFlex AD2 Single-Channel Mic and Guitar Interface for Smartphones and Cameras (B&H # COLNKFLEXAD2).
