These 25 sheets of 16 x 20" COT 160 Paper from Bergger are designed for different printing methods, such as, platinum, palladium, cyanotype, and other alternative processes.
This is a non-sensitized, 100% cotton, bright white paper. No brighteners have been added to the paper.
A great budget platinotype grade paper, and very nice in a medium weight. Not as high quality as the 300gsm paper, however. The sizing is not as robust, and I have had issues with bleed through of sensitizers and issues clearing the reverse of the paper. Great for test prints and less-demanding alt process such as new cyano or salted paper though!
Among the papers that print well in platinum/palladium and cyanotype (SWC), none produced quite as smooth tones as the Berger COT papers. After trying out their lighter weight COT 160, I quickly found it to be my favorite for smaller prints. The thin paper requires more care in handling when wet, but prints exactly the same as the 320 variety.
