Bright Tangerine B1250.1074 Overview

This is a 114 to 85mm Bright Tangerine Clamp-On Ring for Bright Tangerine Misfit matte box, it allows you to clamp your matte box to the front of your lens with an 85mm front outer diameter. The ring features a split design allowing for gentle compression that holds your matte box securely on your lens. This allows you to mount your matte box on your lens without needing to use support rods.

The ring features Z-cuts, which allow it to compress and grip the lens securely, so your matte box does not fall off. The Z-cuts also prevent light from behind the lens from reflecting of any filter and degrading your image.

Another random size clamp ring

The 85mm is not necessary, but nice to have. I can think of only 2 lenses that use this. The discontinued Celeres lenses and the also discontinued Tokina 11mm-16mm PL. I have always just wrapped camera tape around lenses to make the 87mm clamp ring work (and it works fine)...but seeing as I own the 11-16, I figured I would pony up for the 85mm instead of messing with the camera tape every time. If I didn't own an 85mm front lens, I would not buy this clamp ring, but it is convenient to have.

Will this work with the Canon CN-E 18-80mm? The lens outer diameter is 84mm while the ring is for 85mm outer diameter lenses. Thanks

Hello Leonardo I would look to use the inner filter thread of 77mm to attach one of our DSLR rings part number B1250.1071 this will work better than the 85mm ring on the 84mm out diameter.
