Just installed my new Wacom Intuos (small) and I have Catalina 10.15.7 and I get a message that says "Preferences Error" Could not load Wacom Tablet preference pane when I try to make pen or button settings. I had the same problem with the old tablet but I assumed it was just that the driver was no longer supported. What might be the issue?
Did you have the tablet plugged in during its initial driver installation? because you shouldn't have. You might also need to restart once the Wacom driver's been installed.
It could also be due to the driver not being compatible w/ the OS. My suggestion is for you to do a time machine backup & bring up the OS up to date, unless your rig's too old for it. If such is the case, then update the OS up to its limit then do a search for the appropriate driver & do a clean install of the new, compatible driver.

Is this big enough to easily create digital whiteboard videos?
It will honestly come down to a personal preference, the screen size is relative to the surface area of the tablet. With some practice and changing some settings, you could possibly do it but it will take some work. The medium size might be easier to use if you have never used a Wacom tablet before. I have a small size and it took me about a week to get used to it and to customize it for my specific use case.
