This lens is perfect for learning manual focus. I've taken so many nice photos with this lens and its very easy to use. I rarely notice vignetting. I think this lens is sharp between 4-5.6. But the 1.8 is very nice for letting in light and for object separation.

A great beginner lens

Bought a new X-E4 and this lens. I’m just a beginner but the results have been fantastic. I expect I’ll be using this lens for many years to come, even if I expand my collection beyond it.

Hi, i read on some website that this lens might not fit an om-d e-m10 mark ii , can you please confirm ?
Asked by: Maxime
This lens WILL fit on a EM10 mark II but it does not fit on the mark III due to a slightly different design. The mount of the lens hits the front of the camera just above the flange on the camera and does not allow it to seat and mount.

question

Does this lens stop down only when you take the picture, or does it stay stopped down, like a Leica M lens?
Asked by: Andy S.
This lens is manual only and as such whatever the aperture is set it stays. Used in aperture priority mode the scene will still display and be exposed properly as the camera will make adjustments in shutter speed and/or ISO. An aside: I'm quite happy with this lens.
