Does this 72 mm rubber lens hood screw onto the ...

Does this 72 mm rubber lens hood screw onto the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II lens?
Asked by: Tong
As the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens has 72mm filter threads, yes, the Sensei Wide-Angle Rubber Lens Hood (72mm) may be used with the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens. However, do note that this is a third-party lens hood designed for wide angle lenses, and the lens hood may not provide adequate light-blocking capabilities at all focal lengths found in the Tamron 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens. If performance at all focal lengths are needed, then the Tamron Lens Hood for 18-400mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC HLD Lens, B&H # TALH1840035, would be the correct lens hood for your usage needs.

My main purpose for this hood is to eliminate reflections when shooting thru window glass. Would this help to block reflections when use on the Tamron 18-400 mm lens? The OEM hood doesn't help.
Asked by: Tong
Your best bet is to use a polarizer on the lens. Polarizer's remove reflections off of glass. Click the link below to view; https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/900311-REG/Hoya_anxt72crpl_72mm_NXT_Circular_Pol.html
