The 7.9" Rycote Microphone Protector Case is a water-resistant cylindrical case designed to provide multi-layered protection of several small-diaphragm microphones for boom operators and production sound recordists in ENG, EFP, television production, and film shoots. The exterior of the PVC case is covered in 600D oxford nylon and red fabric lines the interior. Like the nylon covering, the zipper closure is water-resistant.

Sheath your microphones with the three supplied PVC mic tubes, which telescope from 4.9 to 7.1" and include foam inserts to optimize the fit. The included carabiner clip conveniently hooks through the webbed carry loop for easy transport or attachment to a belt or pack.

Use the supplied foam inserts—four per mic tube— to help cushion the microphone within the tube or separate multiple smaller microphones within a single tube
Hexagonal end on each mic tube prevents your valuable microphone from rolling off flat surfaces

I tried one of these and I’m going to get Al least one maybe 2 more.. I travel and record live concerts sometimes up to 5-6 times a week in different places. I use expensive and delicate microphones and I can’t store them in a plush, climate controlled mic cabinet user glass with nice lighting.. ha ha.. I love the fancy wooden boxes the come in, but they are so bad, bulky and breakable while on the road. In a year they are being held tofather by gaff tape and rubber bands.. (thumbs down emoji) To be able to put a Neumann or Schoeps in the protective tube and fit a case with 3 mics like that in my bag.. I can store 10 microphones more safely in the space of 1 fancy wooden box that eventually get sad and break. Well done and thanks Rycote.

The three-barrel case is very tight.
