Overall a nice system receiver with adequate power for all externals. I did find the FM to be really weak in sensitivity. Could possibly be due to stock antenna wire which is too short.

The sound is fabulous !! The stereo and main speakers are in the Family Room, extension speakers are in the Living Room. The speaker selection includes A, B or A&B. The reception on the FM Tuner is GREAT !! We mainly play CD's from a Pioneer 6 CD cassette player and the sound is perfect on all speakers.

Is it good for the JBL 4312A (8 ohms) speaker?
Asked by: HYOUNG
The vintage JBL 4312A are control monitors and designed for in studio use. They could be connected to the STR-DH190 Stereo Receiver but will not sound as good as they should. They sound best with more power than this AV home receiver can muster!

Is there a way to adjust the balance between right and left channels? I don't see it on the unit or remote.
Asked by: Doug
Hi Doug, Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, there is! You can easily adjust the balance between right and left speakers by pressing the Amp Menu then selecting the "Balance" option. You can adjust from “BAL. L+10” to “BAL. R+10” in 1 dB/step. The initial setting is “BAL. 0”. Hope this helps! -Sam

Hi Joel, Thanks for your inquiry! We highly recommend using speaker wires that are anywhere between 12 to 16 gauge. Note: The thicker the wire the lower the gauge number & the thinner the wire the higher the gauge number. REF: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/articles/00007161 Hope this helps! -Sam

How do I connect to Speaker Selector System? No speaker output jacks?
Asked by: Aaron
This receiver has two pair of speaker outputs (A l/r and B l/r), which are powered. So, if you are using a switcher that can handle powered signals you would connect one of the pairs to the selector. It does not have a line out, so it will not work with passive selectors.
