This Elvid FieldVision 7" 4K On-Camera Monitor with Battery, Articulating Arm, and HDMI Cable Kit from B&H includes an on-camera monitor that can accept signals up to 4K, and display them on its 1920 x 1200 IPS screen. It features a 1200:1 contrast ratio and 400 cd/m² maximum brightness for a clear picture. The monitor supports image evaluating tools such as focus peaking, 1-to-1 pixel mapping, and zebra bars.

Included in the kit is a Watson NP-770 type battery which mounts on the back of the monitor for cable-free powering. The Axler 11" articulating arm features a central knob for tightening and locking it in place, while an included cold shoe mounting foot adapter enables attaching to your camera's cold shoe or to a 1/4"-20 threaded receiver. The Pearstone HDMI to micro-HDMI cable is 3' long, providing ample slack for positioning your monitor. It supports 3D, 4K, and Audio Return Channel.

Elvid FieldVision 4KV2 7" On-Camera Monitor

Perfect for DSLR and mirrorless cameras, or any other video or cinema camera with an HDMI output, the Elvid FieldVision 4KV2 7" On-Camera Monitor allows you to monitor SD, HD, and 4K video signals on its high-resolution 1920 x 1200 IPS LCD screen. Monitoring tools such as focus peaking, zebras, 1:1 pixel mapping, and more make it easy to assess your image on the FieldVision 4KV2.

The IPS LCD panel on the FieldVision 4KV2 has a contrast ratio of 1200:1 and a brightness of 450 cd/m², making it easily viewable indoors. In bright sunlit outdoor conditions, or other situations with bright direct light, use the included sun hood to block any glare for a clear view of the screen.

Power can be supplied to the monitor via the included L-Series battery plate. L-Series batteries are widely available, and come in a variety of sizes. If you already own L-Series-powered cameras or accessories, powering this monitor won't be a problem. An articulated ball shoe mount, Mini HDMI to HDMI cable, and an HDMI cable locking collar are also included.

4K Signal Support
The FieldVision 4KV2 can display UHD and DCI 4K signals. The 1920 x 1200 display can be used to easily check the focus and framing of your high-resolution video.
Full-Size HDMI Input
The durable full-size HDMI input supports resolutions ranging from SD all the way up to DCI 4K. A locking cable clamp is included to prevent signal dropouts in the event of a snag.
Analog Composite Video Input
With a separately available 3.5mm breakout cable, composite video and audio signals from legacy or wireless video sources can be easily monitored.
Focus Assist
When you need to fine-tune your picture, enable the peaking filter to remove color from the image and add a red outline to any part of the image that's in focus.
Pixel-to-Pixel Mapping
Pixel-to-pixel mode is another feature the FieldVision 4KV2 offers for focusing accuracy. The monitor will display a 4K signal at a 1:1 resolution without any scaling or processing. When activated, the field-of-view will zoom in so you can view your picture in fine detail.
Markers and Image Overlays
Broadcast-specific features include a center marker and an on-screen box that functions as a safety frame marker at a set percentage of the screen size. Select between 80%, 85%, 90%, 93%, or 96%.
Check Field Mode
One of several included tools to perfect your picture, the Check Field mode helps you accurately calibrate the monitor by displaying only the selected color onscreen. Choose from red, green, blue, or gray for a grayscale image.
Image Flip
Flip image is an advanced feature that allows you to adjust the picture if you need to mount your monitor upside down, or if an adapter changes the orientation of the image.
Freeze Image
The image freeze option allows you to freeze the current on-screen image to analyze your frame as a still picture for quick framing reference.
Anamorphic De-Squeeze
This mode corrects your image based on the anamorphic ratio of the lens in use. The monitor will display the image captured by your anamorphic lens without the anamorphic squeeze, for easier monitoring.
Zebras
For quickly assessing your exposure for blown highlights, the zebras are animated black and white stripes through areas of the image that are overexposed. The sensitivity of the zebra switch can be set between 1 and 100 IRE.
Audio Monitoring
It's easy to monitor your incoming audio signal with the FieldVision 4KV2, whether it's from the built-in speaker or with the 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Easily Accessible Menus
Entering the menu is as simple as the push of a button. OSD menu navigation is simple and straightforward using directional buttons.
Programmable Function Buttons
Four programmable function buttons on the front panel let you create shortcuts to the functions you use most often. This lets you quickly access broadcast-specific functions as well as the features you need to fine-tune your image.
Includes Sun Hood
The included sun hood prevents glare on the monitor's screen by blocking out stray light. It's indispensable when shooting outdoors or in other brightly lit environments.

Axler AA-11 Recodo Articulating Arm (11")

The Axler Recodo Articulating Arm is a flexible 11" long arm that supports up to 6 pounds for attaching and positioning available accessories to your camera or accessory mounting point. It is machined from a metal alloy for strength and features three points of articulation that tighten and loosen using a single locking twist handle.

The ends of the arm feature 1/4"-20 threaded studs set into ball joints, with each joint providing swivel adjustment and lockable position adjustment. The threaded studs feature thumb wheels that allow you to tighten accessories on the threaded studs. The arm includes a removable shoe mount that attaches to your camera's accessory hot/cold shoe.

Cold Shoe Mount Adapter
The removable shoe mount adapter features a cold shoe foot to 1/4"-20 threaded stud, with two threaded thumbwheels that enable tightening the foot in your camera's cold shoe as well as your 1/4"-20 accessory. The cold shoe foot also features a female 1/4"-20 threaded mounting hole on the bottom, so you can mount it on a 1/4"20 threaded stud. Rounding out the shoe adapter is a 1/4"-20 coupler.
Single Knob Tightening
When the arm is loose, the center pivot, and both ball joint ends are flexible and can be moved to almost any position. Tightening the center twist lock tightens the center pivot as well as both ball ends at the same time.

The center pivot features two facing rosettes that provide a secure friction source to prevent the arms from slipping.

Watson Compact AC/DC Charger for L & M Series Batteries

This versatile Compact AC/DC Charger from Watson charges all Sony L & M series type lithium-ion batteries via the included dedicated battery plate. Nice monitor with nice features. Includes image flip which is the real reason why I bought it. I knocked off one star because it does not come with a power supply. While the manual will tell you the voltage and current requirements for the power supply, they don't tell you what polarity the unit expects. My investigation with a multimeter seems to show that there's no protection diode against reverse polarity, either, so you have to be careful you don't choose a power supply that's center negative/outside positive.

I like having the larger screen. I thought these were about $800, but I was in the B&H store and asked what is the cheapest one? Instead of the cheapest I bought this Elvid. I used it a couple times so far. Once for a business presentation. The next time I was recording myself and the slight delay was a bit of a disappointment at first. Overall, I like it. Someday, I hope to buy a really nice one.

This was a fantastic buy! The menu settings are easy to use, the image is bright and sharp and it's light enough to attach to my camera with very little fuss. I attached an aftermarket Sony type battery and used it all day. I've been contemplating buying another. The price is right. Just read through the specs to make sure it has all you need for your applications.

I gave it a one star review because it appeared to have failed at 6 weeks. Elvid contacted me and with tech support and I verified that it worked in UHD at frame rates 24/25/30 (as advertised) but not 60, which my camera had been switched to. (Of note is that it functioned transiently at this frame rate). Since it is working as advertised I will give it 4 stars, deducting 2 for the poor ball mount but adding 1 back for the inexpensive price point. This monitor has a good image at the advertised frame rates, but I would plan on upgrading the mount.

While these monitor tend to be used for Video, they will work with the Live View mode for photography as well. You should be able to review images shot with this monitor also.
