Two questions: has anyone tried this on a VC-U14 to see if it fits? Also- is there a threaded tripod hole on the underside of the camera quick release in case I want to use it off the big tripod on a smaller monopod for mobile shots?
This should work well with any VCT Style Plate, such as B&H # EIPS. It also does have both 3/8"-16 and 1/4"-20 threads under it.

Is the shoulder pad slanted, meaning is it thicker on one side than the other so it fits ergonomically the shoulder? Or the thickness is the same from left to right? Thanks
This pad is not slanted. It is the same thickness on both sides of the pad.

Does the 15mm rods go through the plate or just half way? I can't see the bottom.
The 15mm rods do not go through the entire 8Sinn VCT Universal Shoulder Base Plate.

Will the 8Sinn VCT Universal Shoulder Base Plate (8-VCT14SS) fit a Sony VCT-14 tripod adapter plate or does it fit the less robust Sony VCT-U14 tripod adapter plate?
The 8Sinn VCT Universal Shoulder Base Plate will fit onto a Sony VCT-14 tripod adapter plate.

Hi, I saw from Stone's review that the 501 plate set up seems a bit picky about what "501" plates actually fit. I have Manfrotto 501 plates and Sachtler 501 plates. Will they NOT Fit?
The Manfrotto and Sachtler 501 plates are compatible with the 8Sinn Shoulder Base Plate's sliding 501PLong-type top plate.
