Can a 60mm leveling base (#LE60MMLBBFL) be used on the Manfrotto Befree GT Travel Tripod (MAMKBFRTA4GT)? If not recommendation?
Yes, the Leofoto LB-60N Leveling Base with Butterfly Handle with 60mm Plate can be used. There will be about 3/8 of an inch overlap on either side of the top plate. You may also want to consider the Manfrotto Befree Leveling Center Column, BH# MABFRLVLC.

what are the differences between GT and GT XPro?
The main advantage of the Befree XPro series of tripods is that its center column can articulate laterally (extend sideways) rather than just up and down. The mechanism used to secure the center column also makes it a little more stable.

Can you remove the ball head or the quick release ...
Can you remove the ball head or the quick release plate to change for an arca swiss ? Thanks
The short answer is yes. The 496 head can be replaced and/or the RC2 (200PL) plate/release assembly can be removed and replaced with an arca type head or plate assembly. However, be aware that the Befree GT Travel has reverse folding legs with the center column fully extended when folded to it's most compact size. Any head or plate assembly that is larger than the 496 ball head will not allow the Befree GT to fold up as compactly as possible and it may not fit in the travel bag. There are numerous adapters, plates and arca type clamps that are compatible with both arca-type and manfrotto 200PL systems available from B & H that will likely allow you to achieve your desired end result. (The Befree GT Travel is a very good tripod and the Befree GT XPRO Travel has a full featured center column and is generally superb.)
