I just got this tripod and I'm unhappy with tension control on the head: it has almost no tension of its own, so it's way too easy to turn accidentally. Does it act like that on all of these tripods or do I just have a defective one?
Please look to the end of the large knob. There you see recessed dial set within that locking knob can be rotated to apply tension control to the ball-and-socket joint's movements. On the opposite side of the ball head, a secondary locking knob controls the ability to rotate the head 360.
