FotodioX EOS-SNYE Reviews

A little bit of play but affordable

I also have the Metabones version, which is perfect. The Fotodiox has a slight amount of play to it but otherwise functions fine. If I were using adapters every day I'd go all Metabones, but I use them extremely rarely, so putting Metabones on one camera and Fotodiox on another for two-cam interviews (and saving substantial money) is fine by me.

Lenses would barely screw on to this adapter. Would NOT recommend. We bought the Sigma version and it worked perfectly.

Can I use this adapter with Zeiss 35mm ZE canon ...

Can I use this adapter with Zeiss 35mm ZE canon mount ? Im confused about the aputure
Asked by: Benóný
Yes, you may use the FotodioX Mount Adapter for Canon EOS Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera, B&H # FOEOSSNYE, to mount both the ZEISS Milvus 35mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF, B&H # ZE3514ME, or the ZEISS Milvus 35mm f/2 ZE Lens for Canon EF, B&H # ZE352MZE, to a Sony E-mount camera. However, do note this is a manual adapter. It does not support any lens functions that rely on electronic communication with the camera body, and it does not have built-in aperture control, so you would not be able to control the lens' aperture; it would always be set to the largest aperture setting. If you wish to control the aperture using the camera's built-in control dials, you would have to purchase a lens adapter that supports automatic functions, such as either the Metabones T Smart Adapter Mark IV for Canon EF or Canon EF-S Mount Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera, B&H # MEEFEBT4, or the Vello Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Auto Lens Adapter, B&H # VELAESECEF. If you need a more economical option and would prefer a manual lens adapter that has its own built-in aperture ring so you can manually control the aperture on the lens adapter, then I would recommend either the Vello Canon EF/EF-S Lens to Sony E-Mount Camera Lens Adapter with Aperture Control, B&H # VELANEXCEFA, or the FotodioX Adapter for Canon EF Lens to Sony NEX Mount Camera (with Iris Control), B&H # FOPNEXACEI, for your usage needs.

WHAT ADAPTER FOR LUMIX LENSES TO E MOUNT SONY ...

WHAT ADAPTER FOR LUMIX LENSES TO E MOUNT SONY A6000??
Asked by: Mel
If I understand your question, you want to mount a Lumix lens, which are mostly four thirds or micro four thirds onto a Sony A6000 camera which has a sensor larger than four thirds. There are no optical elements in the adapter to compensate for this. So the answer is not to try putting a lumix lens on a Sony 6000.
