This egg crate performs just as advertised. Super easy to install and really helps control the light spill. Worked so well I ordered another the same day my first one arrived.

This Egg crate grid is deep and provides good control in tight spaces. Easy to attach to your softbox and well made.

Easy to store, place, and use on my Westcott Switch Octa-S, and does a beautiful job narrowing the light beam onto my subject.

Beautifully constructed!

Fits as well as the diffuser and looks totally Pro! I love my Rapid Box Octa 26 for the beauty dish feature with the deflector plate. It's extremely portable for street work, light, easiest softbox yet! and the bag it comes in is awesome. Mine isn't the Switch, but my next one will be, so then I can use not only my speedlights, but also my studio strobe if I'm indoors. The more of these, the merrier! I LOVE WESTCOTT anything.

Perfect for what I need it to do: directing the light in one direction without spillover. Easy to mount on the Strip.

A great addition to my travel light kit

Well made, easy to install, does what it's supposed to. Only negative is that it's a bit pricey. On installation, best to move the front diffuser to the rear edge of the velcro strip to allow room for the grid.

It works, but fit is not the best

It works as expected, but the fit it not the best. No matter how much care and fussing I take the corners do not line up quite exactly right. Perhaps I will solve the mystery over time.

Is this really $350? That can't be right.
Asked by: Kerry Layne J.
The pricing for B&H # WE2060 is $349.90 today. A reason why the pricing is higher on this product is due to the nature of how it is manufactured. Each of these grids is hand sewn.

Come with deflector plate? or need to buy separately

The Eggcrate Grid for the Rapid Box Octa 26" did not come with a deflector plate. The Octa themselves may, things change now and then, you should research the product or call them.

question

Why does this grid cost almost as much as the softbox?
Asked by: Riley A.
The price is how Westcott has it set up to. And most grids for softboxes do tend to cost close to the price of the light.Westcott has an instant off on the grid. Otherwise it would be more.

question

Can you use the front diffusion with the grid?
Asked by: Peter S.
Yes. Use the diffusion for soft white light and no diffusion for more punch and contrast. The grid fits fine with the diffusion panel one. I use it both ways.
